Annual Primate Memorial Service Held for FY2026

On October 14, 2026, we held our annual Primate Memorial Service.

The "Saruzuka" (Primate Memorial Monument) was erected on the grounds of the Inuyama Campus in April 1973, where we gather once every year to hold this service.

Under clear autumn skies, many faculty, staff, and students gathered again this year. We expressed our heartfelt gratitude to the primates who lived alongside us at the Inuyama Campus and paid tribute to their memory, while renewing our commitment to doing our utmost to advance research ethics and animal welfare.
