Call for the Applications : Cooperative Research Program FY2026

The Center for the Evolutionary Origins of Human Behavior (EHUB) is
recruiting researchers with the aim of elucidating human evolution through
experimental studies of primates.
1. Eligibility Requirements for Applicants
As of April 1, 2026, applicants must meet the following conditions (domestic or
international applicants are eligible).
(1) Full-time researchers affiliated with universities or public research
institutions.
(2) Part-time researchers affiliated with universities or public research
institutions who meet either of the following criteria:
① Researchers whose information is registered in e-Rad as “eligible to apply
for Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research.”
② Researchers whose duties include conducting research activities at a
university or public research institution and who are actually engaged in
research activities (excluding graduate students).
(3) Graduate students, etc., who have obtained prior consent from their
supervisor or equivalent, and individuals approved by the Center Management
Committee (*See Note 10).
Applications from graduate students and young researchers are encouraged.
2. Research Program Period
April 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027
3. Research Projects
There are two categories of research projects.
・General Research (Research expenses are in part covered.)
・Resource Use (No research expenses are covered.)
- General Research: Applicants can use the EHUB’s resources, facilities, and
equipment and should conduct their experiments and observation at EHUB.
- Resource Use: Applicants can mainly use the EHUB’s research materials.
4. Application Deadline
Saturday, January 31, 2026
*Except for applicants to the Resource Use who wish to begin their research
after April 2026.
