Electricity prices have soared to unprecedented levels in Japan. At the Inuyama campus, efforts to save electricity are ongoing. Elevator use has been curbed and lighting has been reduced to the minimum necessary. In the meantime, the rainy season " Tsuyu (梅雨)" has ended prematurely, and the "dangerous" heat has arrived. This summer, air-conditioning has to be used at a reduced rate. We are hoping to use our wits and somehow get through this heat and hardship.
